Historical Notes
When William P. Miller came to Rising City in 1878, he felt there was a need for a Lutheran Church in the community. He convinced Rev. D.H. Schultz to come preach in private homes, school houses and public halls. Funds were raised and a church building dedicated in 1885. The original church burned in 1939. The present church building was dedicated in 1940 with an educational wing added in 1970.
