Members of the commission were Gen. George Crook, Major William Warner, and Charles Foster, former Governor of Ohio. Hollow Horn Bear was chosen as negotiator of the Brule by his people. Rosebud Agency became one of twenty communities on the reservation. The Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation is located nine miles north of Valentine, Nebraska, in South Dakota.
