The Henry Yates residence, located at 3120 Davenport in Omaha, Nebraska, can be seen across an open field in this black and white lantern slide. The house is a large stone building with a turret on the corner and stone archways over a porch. Other houses and trees can be seen in the surrounding area.
Henry Yates served as president of Nebraska National Bank. Construction on his home started in 1887 and took two years. In 1915, after Yates had died, part of the property was sold and Yates Elementary School was constructed. The house was razed in 1944. Source: Spencer, Jeffrey S.
