A 2"x3" acetate negative, 1977 or 1978 copy of a photograph taken prior to 1910 of the exterior of W. M. "Blondy" Westley's barbershop, pool hall and candy shop in downtown Brainard, Nebraska. The brick building features two large windows with double doors centered between and a canvas awnings. Four boys, six men and a dog line the boardwalk in front of the store. Two of the boys are wearing knickers and knee-high socks, one is wearing bib overalls and one is wearing pants and a shirt. All the boys and several of the men are wearing hats. The men are dressed in a variety of clothing several in suits and top hats, several in work clothes. A tree, several hitching posts and an unpaved street are in the foreground.

William Manley "Blondy" Westley opened a barbering and confectionary business in downtown Brainard, Nebraska, in the late 1800's. He died in Brainard in the late 1920s and is buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
