Historical Notes
John moved with his family to David City from Octavia, Nebraska in 1892, at five years of age. John attended the University of Nebraska, then returned to David City, where he worked for Loran Jordon at Jordan's Drug Store. Later he worked for the Central Nebraska National Bank, where his father was President. In 1934, he started the Central Seed Co., which became a family business with his son, Dick, eventually assuming ownership. John died in 1968.
