Historical Notes
Elinor Rech was born in Nebraska in 1911, to Albina Rech. Elinor's father died shortly after this photo was taken, leaving Albina to raise Elinor and her younger brother, Ralph. According to the 1920 and 1930 census, Albina is listed as a widow, working for private families. According to the 1930 census, Elinor is 19 years old, still living with her mother, selling dry goods.
