A 4"x6" glass plate negative, full figure portrait photograph of Elmore, Will and Clyde Schweser, children of John C. Schweser, David City, Nebraska. Elmore is wearing a suit with short pants with buttons on the side vent, matching jacket with sailor collar and dark ribbon trim with a dark shirt with five small buttons on the yoke placket, black leggings and high-top shoes, sitting on a wicker bench. Clyde and Will are dressed alike in suits with short pants, jackets with sailor collars trimmed with a band of dark ribbon with buttons on both sides of the opening with a chain holding the two sides together, matching under blouses with a white cord flower motif on the chest, black leggings and high-top shoes. One of the boys is sitting on a stool, the other is standing in front on a dark, fur rug, in front of a painted backdrop. |

Historical Notes |
Elmore, Will and Clyde Schweser were the sons of John and Linnie Osier Schweser. Elmore Schweser was born May 9, 1894, in Nebraska. He married Theresa Nadine Dolgner, January 2, 1921. Nadine and Elmore had one daughter, Vergene, who was born August 11, 1922, in Surprise, Nebraska. Elmore died February 1984, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Elmore was the only World War I aviator from Butler County, Nebraska. Will Franklin Schweser was born in Nebraska, December 10, 1895. He married Marie Mayer, June 10, 1919. Will died April 26, 1976, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Clyde Lawrence Schweser was born January 8, 1897. He married Stella Duncan in 1924. Clyde died September 9, 1971, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. |
