Theodosia is wearing a long, dark satin v-neck jumper with wide scalloped shoulder straps and short gathered sleeve cap with scallop-edged vent, white lace blouse with stand collar, gathered elbow-length sleeves, lace cuff trimmed with ruffle, a watch chain with medallion around her neck tucked into the belted waist, bracelet, her brunette hair swept up with silk flowers, sitting on a stool, looking at an open book with fashion photo. Nadine is standing beside her wearing a white, knee-length dress with gathered skirt, horizontal rows of tucks above the hemline, gathered bodice, scoop neck, elbow-length gathered sleeves with rows of horizontal tucks and cuff with ruffled fabric edge, chain necklace with medallion, her brunette hair in ringlets, a bunch of flowers secured to one side. |

Historical Notes |
Theodosia Lowe Dolger was born in Illinois in 1868. She married Charles Dolgner in David City, Nebraska, March 15, 1888. Charles was a farmer and they lived near Rising City. Theodosia died October 18, 1930, and is buried in Rising Sun Cemetery near Rising City. She is photographed with her daughter, Theresa Nadine Dolgner, who was born near Rising City, August 19, 1898. Nadine married Elmore Schweser, January 2, 1921, in David City. They had one daughter, Vergene. Nadine died in Idaho, January 6, 1987. |
