A two-story brick building stands between two other buildings in this 6-1/2 " x 4-1/2" black and white photograph. The building has windows on both levels and signs on the front that say "J.C. Ridnour Co.", "Wholesale Dry Goods", and "Furnishing Goods". On the right is the Lincoln Drug Company; of the sign painted on its side, only the word "Lincoln" is visible. There are several cars parked on the street in front of the building. "R.C. Ridnour Co." is written on the photograph.
The J. C. Ridnour Company operated from several locations in Lincoln's warehouse and wholesale district before building this factory and warehouse at 809 P Street in 1925. Ridnour was a wholesaler of furnishing goods and notions and a manufacturer of work clothes and overalls. A 1929 advertisement stated that the company stocked "Furnishings, Shoes, Ladies' Ready to Wear, Millinery, and Dry Goods." Meginnis and Schaumberg designed the factory warehouse, one of the last built during Haymarket's principal period of development.
