The Fremont Brewing Company's bottling department is the focus of this early 1900s black and white image. The one story brick building with its arched window surrounds is just one of the structures in the company's complex. Prominent lettering on the front designates it as the "Bottling House". The loading dock is seen at the front entrance and a frame addition has been added to the original brick building. The house to the left, with its decorative embellishments, is the main office for the plant. It displays ornamental shingle work, a scroll sawn gable bracket, and an iron roof railing, as well as a decorative metal roof ridge. Bicycles are parked near its corner entrance. The most curious detail of the scene is the poultry yard located near the front entrance of the bottling house. Chicken coops, fencing, and scratching chickens all underline the rural flavor of the factory district with its dirt streets. The main portion of the brewery is just off the photograph to the left. A few of its towers and chimneys are visible. Another department, also brick, is seen just behind the bottling area.
