This five story, frame building houses the Royston Milling Company which is identified by large painted letters on the side of the structure. Six over six paned windows provide lighting for all five floors. It was located on the corner of Broad and South Streets. Men, women and children make up a large crowd and are focused on what seems to be a political rally. A male figure is addressing the group from a bunting draped platform, while a second male remains seated. Several women, who appear to be wearing white sailor hats, are also seated on the platform. "Nebraska Queen" flour advertising hangs above the group and strings of incandescent light bulbs have been put out for the event. A doorway has also been draped in bunting. Nine horse drawn buggies appear in the scene and one of them, standing in the foreground, is a surrey with a fringed top. Bicycles, strollers and baby buggies are also seen. A number of individuals are carrying black umbrellas. Spectators peer from opened windows and a group of males are seated on a boxcar top. Train tracks, boxcars, utility poles and a hanging street light may also be noted in this shot.
