A corner fragment is all that appears to remain of an unidentified livery stable and barn following a fire at the intersection of D and Sixth Streets on the NE corner. Smoke from the smoldering embers is still visible. The structure is essentially burned to its brick foundation, as seen from Sixth Street. A next door residence is scorched but escaped destruction. Spectators, including men, boys and at least one girl, are interspersed throughout the wreckage and a saddled horse stands on the dirt street which is littered with fire debris. The rear portion of a wagon is also seen.
