This 5" x 7" photograph shows the exterior view of Ray Nye's garage or carriage house, located at 1643 North Nye Avenue in Fremont, Nebraska. The brick edifice faces east and its wooden trim, including dentils, finials, classical columns and balustrades all mimic architectural details found on the Nye residence. The car bay is accessed through the four large folding wooden doors. Space on the second floor provides living quarters for a chauffeur. What appears to be a brick extension to the left is actually a brick apartment building located to the rear of the Nye garage.
