Historical Notes
In addition to school studies and training in trades such as carpentry, shoe repair, and tailoring, the boys helped raise farm animals and crops for their tables and for sale. In the 1916-1916 biennium, 1,000 bushels of table beets and 941 tons of sugar beets were harvested at the school.
