The sculpture of a large crane sits in the center of a circular cement fountain in this black and white 5-3/8" x 3-3/8" photographic postcard taken on the campus of the Nebraska State Normal School. Although the fountain appears to be dry, a spout from the beak of the bird probably provided water to it. Two multi-story brick buildings can be seen in the background along with a number of mature trees.
The stone building behind (south of) the fountain is the old Library building, now the Center for Achievement and Transition Services building. The corner of the Chapel, now the Library, can be seen at the far left. This fountain no longer exists.
