This 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" postcard shows a long three-story brick building from the front left (northeast) corner. Several trees grace the grassy area at the front. A swing-set and a portion of another smaller building can be seen behind the building at the left.
Founded in 1911, the Normal School became Nebraska State Teacher's College at Chadron in 1921 and Chadron State College in 1964 . The building pictured in this photograph still stands on the college campus and is known as Old Admin. Designed by George A. Berlinghof, and constructed in 1910-1911, the center portion was built first with the west wing added in 1916 and the east wing in 1917.
