Sepia-toned photograph (11 x 8 cm., 13 x 11 cm. with cardboard frame) with a view of eight men, assumed to be staff of Nebraska National Bank, standing behind a counter with a sign for Nebraska National Bank, Omaha, Nebraska, hanging on the wall behind them.
The Nebraska National Bank was established in 1882 by Henry W. Yates and A. E. Touzalin. The bank was initially located in a four-story building on the northwest corner of 12th and Farnam Streets. Because the building had an iron-front, the bank that it housed came to be known as the Iron Bank. In 1919 the Nebraska National Bank moved to a new building on the southwest corner of 18th and Douglas, and in 1923 the bank was taken over by First National Bank. Source: Sorenson, Alfred.
