A man stands on a grading machine that is leveling land while another man drives a horse-drawn wagon into which dirt is loaded from a conveyor belt. The name "Best" is stamped on the front of the grader which runs on a chain tread. The Rathbone Village is roughly bounded by South Street, S. 27th Street, Puritan Avenue and Rathbone Road in Lincoln. Houses and other buildings can be seen in the background.
According to Polk's City Directory of Lincoln, 1925, the Rathbone Corporation offices were located at 118 N 11th Street. Harvey Rathbone was President, Byron E. Yoder the Vice-President, and Grace A. Trott the Treasurer.
