DescriptionA 4"x6" glass plate negative, bust portrait photograph of George Washington and Maria Boans Burgess, Rising City, Nebraska. George is wearing a mustache, dark three-piece suit, white shirt and dark bow tie. Maria is wearing a white dress with horizontal tucks on the sleeves with large daisies embroidered on tabs over the sleeve caps, large vertical tucks on the bodice which is slit to the waist and laced together with narrow fabric ties anchored with small buttons over a striped under blouse with stand collar.
